Children
Children are special at MBC. Some of the programs available include:
Children’s Church Children Kindergarten through Third Grade have their own worship service on the 1st through the 4th Sundays. They are in the sanctuary until after the choir sings; then they exit with their leaders to the classroom opposite the kitchen. On the 5th Sunday children remain in the sanctuary for the entire service. “Worship Kids Style” is geared toward children and is an extension of Sunday School lessons.
Vacation Bible School Every year MBC reaches out to children in the community by offering Vacation Bible School (VBS). Additionally, offerings of money and/or food are collected for Missions. Many children and adults are involved in VBS with volunteers working as teachers, guides, craft and food workers.
In 2012 the VBS week is scheduled for June 18-22.
Sunday School Sunday School offers an opportunity to study the Bible more closely and to apply lessons the children can understand. There are classes for all ages: birth to high school.
Wednesday evening After the evening meal, at 6:45, children enjoy a great time of fellowship, Bible study, and missions study with the Team Kids program for ages 4-5th grade.
Children’s Choir Children’s Choir is offered on Sunday evenings at 5:30. The Children's choir performs at various time such as at the Christmas pageant and during Sunday morning services.
