The past couple of months have been difficult as we have tried to navigate the changing times and to continue to function as the church God calls us to be. I want to thank each and every one of you who have participated and continued to support the activities of our church. As churches have again been allowed to make decisions about meeting in person, I want you to know we are carefully evaluating all options and we plan to be able to meet together again soon.
Although the restrictions have been lifted, we believe it is in everyone’s best interest that we wait to fully reopen. Our recent church survey revealed less than 20% of people were comfortable returning immediately with more as additional precautions can be implemented.
We are currently planning to return to in-person worship service on June 28, 2020. As we approach this time, we will be sharing additional information about detailed plans and precautions we will be taking, as well as, any other limitations on our activities. We will continue with online services and encourage you to take full advantage of all of our offerings.
Our church office has reopened on a limited basis, but we are still asking you not to come into the church unless you have specific business there. Please continue to contact us through email, phone calls, or text. Committees should continue to meet virtually.
We ask you to continue praying for our church, and members are encouraged to continue to give through our online giving platform at https://mbcnc.org/give/. Helping our church to stay financially stable is critical during this time.
In times like this, the Church can rise up and make a difference to those in our community. Like we said at the onset of our restrictions, our church is not the building and we know you will respond to the needs of your neighbors and you will take the love of Christ to share with them. Thank you for continuing to be the Church wherever you are.
Thanks and God Bless,
