COVID-19 Update – June 10, 2020

June 10, 2020

MBC Family,

I want to start out by thanking each and every one of you who have participated and continued to support the activities of our church. We ask you to continue praying for our church, and members are encouraged to continue to give through our online giving platform at https://mbcnc.org/give/. Helping our church to stay financially stable is critical during this time.

We are still planning to return to in-person worship service on June 28, 2020. We are excited to welcome you back and we look forward to worshiping together for the first time in quite a while. June 28th will only be the main worship service. We are still planning for how we will return to classes and other activities.  Look for lots of excitement and welcomes, but we’ll still have to go with virtual hugs for now.

I know that many of you can’t wait to get back together. Although we are not yet opening our building for gatherings, small groups are encouraged to meet outside or in another location if you are able to observe all recommended precautions including physical distancing.

Our church office has reopened on a limited basis, but we are still asking you not to come into the church unless you have specific business there. Please continue to contact us through email, phone calls, or text. Committees should continue to meet virtually.

Finally, I’d like to address what is going on across our country. Racism is wrong and it’s time that we all make a stand against wrong and to stand up for what is right. We need to help people start to heal and to stop the injustices. I’m still praying about how we might go about this, but one thing that I know is that God calls us to be his Church to everyone. In times like this, the Church will make a difference.

Thank you for continuing to be the Church wherever you are.

Thanks and God Bless,
Pastor Jimmy
