Macedonia Baptist Church focuses on genuine care and concern for its diverse congregation and community. While inclusive and progressive, the church stresses a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Without question, MBC’s greatest asset is its people. The congregation is a warm, friendly and accepting group of believers. Anyone looking for a church home will undoubtedly find a loving environment for their entire family.
Why become a member?
Church membership is a covenant relationship in which Christians commit themselves to God and to each other to worship, learn and serve together as a mission community.
What must I do to become a member?
Faith in Jesus Christ is the only qualification for membership at MBC. Ordinarily people indicate their desire to become members of MBC by coming to the front at the pastor’s invitation at the conclusion of a service. The pastor will ask, “Do you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and do you trust him as your lord and savior?” If you accept, the pastor will lead the congregation in welcoming you to the membership.
Additionally, MBC will also accept a transfer of letter from any other Baptist Church or a statement of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Savior with prior believer’s baptism.
What about baptism?
We practice believer’s baptism by immersion. If you have not been baptized in this way, you are encouraged to do so. Baptism is a sign of and requirement for membership into the Church. Potential members should speak to the pastor if you have questions about baptism.
What if I have more questions?
If you have questions about faith in Jesus Christ or about joining the church please contact us to make an appointment with the pastor at your convenience.
